How Blind Spot Monitoring Works

As we know, the blind spot detection/monitoring feature has the main function of detecting objects that are in the vehicle’s blind spot area. This is by utilizing advanced technology.

Most of these safety feature systems have several sensors installed on the vehicle’s rearview mirror or rear bumper.

All sensors in the blind spot detection feature function to capture and detect objects or other vehicles around the car’s blind spot. For example, when a car is about to turn a sharp corner.

However, there are also car manufacturers that embed this feature sensor in video cameras. With the addition of this camera, it certainly makes it easier for drivers to detect other vehicles.

When the sensor detects the presence of another vehicle, the sensor will send a signal that makes the blind spot indicator turn on and flash. In several car types, this safety feature indicator is not in the form of an indicator light visible on the car dashboard.
